ZeroBounce vs NeverBounce

ZeroBounce vs NeverBounce

Email verification tools check whether the addresses on your list can receive mail before you send to them. Removing invalid addresses lowers your bounce rate, and bounce rate is one of the clearest signals mailbox providers use to judge a sender. ZeroBounce and NeverBounce are two of the most widely used services. Both do the core job well. They differ on price and on how much else comes with it.

At a glance

  • ZeroBounce is best for teams that want verification plus a suite of deliverability tools. Pay-as-you-go starts at $39 for 2,000 credits, and there are 100 free credits every month.
  • NeverBounce is best for teams that want straightforward, lower-cost verification with broad integrations. Pay-as-you-go costs $8 per 1,000 emails.

Where ZeroBounce is strong

ZeroBounce verifies addresses and adds detail to the result. Beyond valid and invalid, it identifies catch-all domains, disposable addresses, role accounts, known complainers and spam traps where it can. It guarantees 99.6% validation accuracy.

It has also grown into a deliverability toolkit. The ZeroBounce ONE subscription, at $99 a month with a minimum of 10,000 credits, includes inbox placement tests, blocklist monitoring, DMARC monitoring, warm-up seeds and an email finder. Subscription credits roll over while the subscription is active. The free tier refills 100 validation credits each month and includes a small number of finder credits and tests.

Additional services such as AI scoring, which rates how likely an address is to engage, are available using the same credits.

Where NeverBounce is strong

NeverBounce concentrates on verification and makes it easy to automate. Its price of $8 per 1,000 emails on pay-as-you-go is well under ZeroBounce's entry rate. The Growth plan costs $49 a month and covers up to 10,000 emails monthly, with CRM auto-sync so new records are checked before they reach your database.

Integrations are a strength. NeverBounce connects to a long list of email platforms, CRMs and automation tools, including HubSpot, Mailchimp and Zapier, and can clean multiple lists in parallel. A real-time API verifies addresses at the point of entry, such as a signup form. NeverBounce is part of ZoomInfo, which gives it stable backing.

Pay-as-you-go credits expire 12 months after purchase.

Key differences

  • Price. NeverBounce is cheaper per verification at low and medium volumes.
  • Extra tools. ZeroBounce bundles placement testing, blocklist and DMARC monitoring, warm-up and an email finder. NeverBounce stays focused.
  • Free tier. ZeroBounce gives 100 free credits every month. NeverBounce offers free credits to test with.
  • Result detail. ZeroBounce returns more status categories, including abuse and spam trap flags.
  • Credit expiry. NeverBounce pay-as-you-go credits expire after a year. ZeroBounce subscription credits roll over.

Deliverability notes

Verification removes addresses that will bounce. It does not tell you whether someone wants your email. A list can be fully valid and still generate complaints, which damage reputation more than bounces do.

Pay attention to catch-all results. Catch-all domains accept mail for any address, so verifiers cannot confirm whether a specific mailbox exists. These are common in B2B lists. Treat them as higher risk: send to them in small batches and watch the bounce rate.

Verify at three points. Check new addresses at signup with the real-time API, clean any imported or purchased data before the first send, and re-verify older segments every few months, because addresses decay as people change jobs.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose ZeroBounce if you want detailed results and would use the extra deliverability tools in the same subscription.
  • Choose NeverBounce if you want reliable verification at a lower price with easy integration into your existing stack.
