Reply.io vs Lemlist

Reply.io vs Lemlist

Reply.io and Lemlist are both multichannel sales engagement platforms. Each lets a rep build one sequence that mixes email, LinkedIn, calls and messaging, and each has added AI features and a contact database. They are closer to each other than to the pure high-volume email tools, which makes the comparison a matter of emphasis.

At a glance

  • Reply.io is best for teams that want structured multichannel sequences and are interested in AI agents handling prospecting. Email plans start at $59 per user a month, and Multichannel at $99 per user a month, with lower annual rates.
  • Lemlist is best for teams that prioritize creative personalization. Plans list at $69 per user a month for email and $109 per user a month for multichannel.

Where Reply.io is strong

Reply.io splits its product into two paths. The Email Volume plan is priced by active contacts, starting at 1,000 contacts a month, with unlimited mailboxes under a fair use policy and email warm-up included. LinkedIn automation and calls can be added per account.

The Multichannel plan includes email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS for each user, plus WhatsApp steps and unlimited active contacts. Reporting is a strength, with team performance and channel efficiency reports built in.

Reply.io has also invested heavily in its AI SDR, called Jason. It researches an ideal customer profile, finds contacts, writes sequences and handles replies, in either autopilot or approval mode. This is priced separately, starting at $500 a month on annual billing for 1,000 active contacts. There are dedicated agency plans too, with multi-workspace management and white-label options.

Where Lemlist is strong

Lemlist's advantage is how personal its messages can be. Custom images with the prospect's name or logo, dynamic landing pages and AI variables are part of the sequence builder. Many teams choose it because its emails are noticeably less generic.

Both Lemlist plans include lemwarm for warm-up and deliverability monitoring, and access to a database of more than 650 million contacts. The Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn automation, SMS, calling and a WhatsApp add-on, with five sending addresses per user.

Key differences

  • AI direction. Reply.io offers a full AI SDR as a separate product. Lemlist adds AI agents inside the existing workflow for research and writing.
  • Email plan pricing. Reply.io's email plan scales by active contacts. Lemlist's is a flat per-user price with a monthly email cap.
  • Agencies. Reply.io has dedicated agency plans. Lemlist is geared toward in-house teams.
  • Personalization. Lemlist is stronger on visual and creative personalization.
  • Reporting. Reply.io provides more detailed team and channel reporting.

Deliverability notes

Both include warm-up and an anti-spam or deliverability toolkit, and both connect to your own Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailboxes. Neither removes the need for a properly authenticated sending domain.

AI-written outreach deserves extra care. When an agent chooses the contacts and writes the copy, volume can grow faster than relevance, and complaint rates follow. Keep a human reviewing targeting and samples of the output, and cap daily sends per mailbox regardless of what the plan allows.

Multichannel sequencing can help deliverability indirectly. A prospect who has seen a LinkedIn visit or message first is less likely to mark the email as spam.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose Reply.io if you want strong reporting, agency options, or to experiment with an AI SDR.
  • Choose Lemlist if standing out in the inbox through personalization is your priority.

Pricing was checked on each vendor's pricing page in October 2026 and changes often. Confirm current rates before you buy.
